description Located along the Swift River and the Kancamagus Scenic Byway, the Russell-Colbath Barn is located at the Russell-Colbath Historic site. It is available for reservation and is ideal for family gatherings, weddings or other community events. The Russell-Colbath Barn offers a unique opportunity for small or large group gatherings in a rustic setting.
drivingDirection The Russell-Colbath Barn is located on the Kancamagus Highway (State Route 112), 12.5 miles west of Conway, New Hampshire. It is just west of Bear Notch Road, in the White Mountain National Forest. The Russell-Colbath Barn is approximately 18 miles east of Lincoln, NH on State Highway 112.
facilitiesDescription The "Barn" will accommodate up to 120 people. There is no fireplace, kitchen, camping on site, or garbage containers. Two picnic tables, two fold-out indoor tables and 75 chairs are provided. Electricity is provided from an on-site generator.

importantInformation A barn key, instructions, and parking passes for the site are to be picked up at the Saco Ranger Station in Conway, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. the day of the reservation. Coordinating with the Ranger Station to obtain these items, and to make other arrangements, is required (see highway address and phone info below) This unheated timber frame barn includes a generator, bathrooms, lighting, 75 chairs and two tables. Additional supplies brought on-site are to be removed at the end of the reservation. Alcohol is not permitted at the site. Amplified music is not permitted. Pets must be on a leash. Parking is for about 15-20 vehicles. The facility should be left clean with all refuse removed. Don't move firewood: To limit the spread of invasive tree-killing pests, firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Some states have quarantines and may confiscate your firewood. Please help protect our forests from invasive species by obtaining your firewood at or near your camping destination and burning it on-site. Visit dontmovefirewood.org for more information.
